Client: BBC
Brief: To design and deliver an automated Interactive Television game show for BBC FutureWorld based on Conference Challenge. The design needed to include a flexible broadcast area with backing monitors to be used for branding. Two builds of the set and equipment were required as FutureWorld was to run at two locations simultaneously.
The Project: eMoot designed
and built the entire stand area. This included the production of all software and graphic design for both the
branding facility and the FutureWorld Challenge game. eMoot set up a system where they could dial in to the stand
via modem so that updates to the game and other graphics could be achieved remotely. eMoot also scripted the game
and managed all other game production activities. Peter Snow returned as virtual host of the game. Over 50,000 games were played during FutureWorld's nine month run. eMoot was also commissioned to produce the
FutureWorld Walking with Dinosaurs / Gormenghast exhibit.
