World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, Bowness-on-Windemere
The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction underwent a major refit in early 2005.
As part of this, we were commissioned to develop and install an extended version
of our Virtual Walk interactive system, previously developed for
the Peter Rabbit's Garden Exhibition.
The new version of the virtual walks now supports Chinese and Dutch translations
as well as French, Japanese and English. We also integrated the centres existing
video presentation 'The Tale of Mrs Heelis', turning it into a multi-screen
show with translations into the same five languages.
The virtual walks feature hundreds of pages of information for visitors to explore, covering the lake district area, Beatrix Potter's life and - of course - her books. Everything is linked to from over 20 interactive panoramas.
